O Taste and See that the Lord is Good

Happy (a day late) Thanksgiving!!

We had a fantastic time in Georgia visiting with some of Josh's family. We laughed, ate, chatted, and enjoyed each other's company. We wished the trip could've been longer!

Yesterday, while the rest of you were feasting on the traditional Thanksgiving dishes, Josh and I were making the 12 hour drive back to Indiana. We did, however, enjoy a late dinner of McDonald's which was topped off with a milkshake! Our first Thanksgiving without the turkey....there's a first time for everything, right?!

It didn't matter to us what we ate....we bowed our heads and thanked our gracious God for His incredible blessings!

Our Savior
Faith & peace in Him
Opportunities to share the Gospel
Incredible family
Good friends
A wonderful church family
Healthy bodies
Stable jobs
Every physical blessing....food, a home, clothes, money and much more
Each and every trial that comes our way, because they bring us closer to Him

This year we are giving thanks for the blessing of adoption. We are humbled that the Lord is leading us to our precious child. Maybe next Thanksgiving we'll have our little one with us!

O Taste and See that the Lord is Good!

One more small thing that I'm thankful for.....our storage area that is filled with Christmas decorations! I have to work today, but I am just giddy thinking about getting home, blarin' the holiday tunes, unloading all of the bins, and deckin' the halls! Oh, I cannot wait!

Anyone decorating today? Shopping? Relaxing at home?

Blessings to you,
Rach

  3. Enjoy your Christmas decorating. All three of us went out shopping this morning for some gifts. We got a couple of them! Everyone in the stores were saying how very light the shopping crowds where. The manager at Kohl's said everything was running so smoothly because they had prepared for more shoppers.

Duder now has his mind set on getting the Christmas tree set up... guess I can't cross a determined 3-year old so I should start the Christmas Decorating Frenzie!
