Blogiversary!!!

One year ago this blog was born.

So much happened in the last 365 days and In His Hands has served as the perfect place to record it all....

Well over 200 blog posts were thought about and written. Baby preparations were made. Countless prayers were said. Friendships were formed and blossomed.

I learned, I shared, I laughed.

I cried, I waited, I prayed.

I chatted, I grew, I celebrated.
I had a blast.

I became a mother. My Josh became a daddy.

How's that for a year?!?

So, yes, a celebration of sorts is in order....especially since the Lord of all held each day, each moment in His almighty hands. His love and faithfulness and forgiveness overflowing.

I cannot say enough how thankful I am to all of you who have (and continue to) come along on our adoption journey! Your support and kind words are a huge blessing. It is a privilege to share this road to parenthood with you and "introduce" you to our precious Josiah.

Speaking of our adorable little peanut.....right now we are waiting for Josiah's legal documents (birth certificate, etc) to arrive from Korea. I've been feeling down that they aren't here yet, so if you would, please keep us in your prayers as we try to patiently wait for those papers so the next step of the process can begin!

As a small token of my appreciation and to celebrate this "blogiversary", I am so excited to give away two pieces of the lovely Willow Tree collection! I have a number of the Willow Tree figures and cherish them dearly.

It is so incredibly humbling to have such loving folks praying for us and celebrating with us, so I chose these....

Angel of Celebration

Willow tree prayer
Angel of Prayer

To enter to win one of these Willow Tree figures, simply leave a comment or two (since there are 2 prizes!) on this post. Please feel free to share what you are thankful for today or a prayer request of your own.

For obvious reasons, the last year truly has been one of my favorites so far! As I look forward to what is ahead, I know one thing for certain...

...everything is In His Hands!

Now that's something to celebrate.

  16. Happy 1 year Blogiversary!!!

I think it's a good excuse for a party. I'll bring the taco dip and chips!

Today I'm thankful that you started your blog a year ago. It's been great geting to know you and sharing our adoption journeys together. What did adoptive parents do before the internet to get support while they were waiting? I'm so thankful for your support and hope to one day look back on this time (while sitting in lawn chairs sipping lemonade and watching our children play in the sprinkler) and remember it as that waiting period when I made some great friends.

  36. Rachel-
Talk about answer to prayer...one day you are praying for patience as you await the arrival of Josiah's legal documents and the next day you have the new of their arrival. Wow, God sure is awesome.
Today, I not only say a prayer of thanks for your wonderful news, but also a prayer for the other child our family eagerly awaits from a far off place in China. Of course, this will also come in His perfect timing.
Love and hugs...will we see you this weekend?
