a watched pot never boils

Unfortunately something very similar can be said of a certain someone's cell phone.

a watched pot

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record...and for that I apologize.

So no travel call, but other happy things have been
cookin' around here.

Like this

preparing for Josiah 2

this too

preparing for Josiah 3

It's really starting to look like a baby lives here. Which is SO surreal and exciting and wonderful. Now we just need, well, the baby!

As we continue to wait for that to happen, I'm trying to have some fun other than baby-preparing-fun. Last night Josh and I went out to eat after the opening service for his Seminary year. I've been catching up on some of my favorite shows and reading a book I've been meaning to finish. I think I may go see the newest Harry Potter movie. I made plans with a dear friend for Thursday.....both of us hoping I'd have to break them.
;-)

In other words, I'm taking this journey hour by hour by keeping busy and hoping that the pot will overflow soon!

  6. Looks like Josiah is coming home to a house that is ready for him! We have the same high chair... and the same car seat (but a different cover.) I'm praying that Josiah will be traveling home in that car seat very soon!

  7. Rachel,
Opal has the exact same high chair and almost the same car seat (different color cover). You will love this stuff!

I know you have heard this a million times, but try to take some naps and sleep - if you don't do it now, you will be kicking yourself in a week when he is home. Sleep, sleep and then hit the snooze and sleep a little more. Your body will thank you!

  11. Oh, it must be torture waiting on that call. And every time the phone rings you must jump! It's coming, it's coming, I'm sure... in the meantime, everything looks great, although that teddy bear needs a friend. Josiah will be there cuddling him very soon. Come on TC!

  18. Love all the new baby gear! The first time the boys used their beds, booster seats for our first family dinner, etc. I totally cried and lost it!!!! Oh the joy of seeing your baby use the things you have prepared for them.... Makes me think of how the Lord thinks of us and reminds me of 1 Corinthians 2:9.

Now RING YOU SILLY PHONE!!!! :)

  19. You will LOVE your Britax car seat! We have 2 and think they are the best. We bought a 'cheaper' seat for hubby's car, and do not like it AT ALL!

You will have to report back on the high chair! Might be something miss Claire needs too! ;)

Hang in there. I am sure these few days are PAINFUL!
